Dennis Zajack, who runs a substantial part of CSUB's IT operations, recently spoke with ISE about his use of EnterpriseSCHEDULE in his department's daily operations. Installed on 5 Alpha boxes, (including a 4 CPU ES40) EnterpriseSCHEDULE processes many administrative applications related to student IDs and student records and charges as well as Alumni services. EnterpriseSCHEDULE controls jobs that run SCT Banner administrative software interacting with the Oracle database. He commented that EnterpriseSCHEDULE has made these tasks much easier by automating them.
"Very happy with it" and his experiences with Schedule “have been great”.

Additionally, EnterpriseSCHEDULE is called upon to process jobs that cross Windows NT and HP-UNIX platforms. Jobs are submitted that take data from OpenVMS and process it on the WindowsNT side using a form server application. In the case of HP-UNIX, student ID data is moved across the enterprise to HP-UNIX for processing and phone registration data is processed from the UNIX side on OpenVMS.
EnterpriseSCHEDULE jobs also handle backups of the academic record system that serves out the Web accounts to students as well as other system backups. It is also running on several test machines that run administrative applications. Overall, Dennis stated that EnterpriseSCHEDULE submits around 25 critical job streams a day that automate many essential procedures central to the operation.
Dennis voiced a strongly favorable impression of EnterpriseSCHEDULE and could not think of a single instance when the software failed him. He praised its ability to base job execution on a previous job's completion and felt this was essential to his job streams. He stated that he was "very happy with it" and that his experiences with the product "have been great".
